This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit yourtechfriend.ch, contact us, or book a session, and how we use it. It applies the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to provide our service:
- Contact form: name, email, optional phone number, and the content of your message.
- Booking: data you submit when scheduling a session via Cal.com (name, email, time slot, optional notes).
- Email correspondence: any information you share when emailing or messaging us.
- Server logs: anonymised technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept by our hosting provider for security and stability.
4. Why we use your data (legal basis)
Your data is processed to:
- Reply to your enquiries and arrange appointments (contractual / pre-contractual basis).
- Provide the technology support or training you booked (performance of contract).
- Send invoices and meet our legal accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- Maintain the security of the website (legitimate interest).
5. Service providers (data processors)
We use a small number of trusted providers who process limited data on our behalf:
- Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting of website, database and contact-form submissions (EU servers).
- Resend — sending email notifications (EU/US).
- Cal.com — appointment booking (EU/US).
- Google Maps — embedded map of our location (Google Ireland Ltd).
6. International transfers
Some providers above may process data outside Switzerland or the EU. In that case we rely on adequate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or recognised adequacy decisions.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep contact-form messages and booking details only as long as necessary to handle your request and any subsequent client relationship, plus the legal retention periods required by Swiss law (in particular 10 years for accounting documents).
8. Your rights
Under Swiss and EU law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request rectification or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Lodge a complaint with the Swiss FDPIC (edoeb.admin.ch) or your local data protection authority.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site and improve it. GA4 is only loaded after you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is sent. IP addresses are anonymised.
